Scott had almost choked on his saliva as he struggled to hide his laugh at the fact that Liam and Cassandra had been paired together. He already knew that they hated each others guts, but Scott knew that it wouldn't remain that way forever. They'd find common ground eventually, but until they did, Scott would be taking advantage of it a lot. He turned to Kira, he had been happy that he had been paired with her and reached out to grab a copy of Romeo and Juliet off of the teacher's desk. He flipped it open to their designated scene and hoped that Kira could help figure out all of what seemed to be mumbo-jumbo. "Do you know anything about Shakespeare?" He asked as he placed his notebook down on the desk between them and pulled out a notebook. He had hoped, for both of their sakes, that she did. Words: 151 Kira Yukimura

He asked if she knew anything about Shakespeare, but what could she say. She knew that this was the scene when both Romeo and Juliet killed themselves to be with each other. She just didn't remember much of the details from the scene, and hoped he wouldn't ask to read it. "I know that Shakespeare uses poetic language to write something as simple as someone dying," she replied. She stayed quiet not knowing whether any of that was useful to them, but she at least knew the foundations of the fifth scene from the play. "The scene we have is when Romeo kills himself after thinking that Juliet was dead, and then when she woke up, she killed herself to be with him," she added to what she knew. Not much, but the basic foundations were some help. Scott McCall

Liam looked at her with surprise, how did she know about the bite?? wait, she might be guessing. Or she might have used it in passing.Either way something told him that, he should be quite wary with her that day. And looking at her current mood, only increased the chances of him being ripped off by the looks she was sending his way. It was very much clear that she hated to be anywhere near him. Alas, that should definitely change, seeing as they were going to be together in all the classes. As she replied back to him, he noticed that her eyes turned amber. Whoa! how did she do that? Or was it the light? He however did not faze at her answer and said "we will see about it, Carter. You might as well grow on me"and gave a wink in her direction.
Liam returned his attention to the class. He was a little shocked when he heard zero protests from his fellow freshman when they were assigned together. But then again, she truly had to be an idiot to land herself in a detention with the Deputy. As good as she may look, she is down right strict even more than the headmistress herself. As he looked at the scene given to him, he gave a small smile. It was not a bad one and he can manage. But at the sudden shuffle beside him, he turned around to see the amber eyes of Cassandra. What is with me today? Imagining things and all, he thought. He shook his head and said "wouldn't dream of it." and muttered under his breath, 'but then again there will not be any fun if you fall for me by merely acting out scene 2 of Romeo Juliet.'
He watched as she initiated the conversation and he merely shrugged his shoulders and said "as you wish. I don't want to suck at my very first class of English."He turned his book to the right page and said "okay, so the original scene takes place where Juliet is in a tower, whose window overlooks the orchard in which Romeo is standing. right? So I think the place can be changed to somewhere more modern? He was keen in thought as he tapped his pen against his chin and the was running his other hand through his hair as he sat there thinking.

Cassandra had merely rolled her eyes in response to his obvious shock at her knowledge about the bite. But then again, he didn't know that she was just like him, a werewolf. Although she was born, not bitten, so she had it a bit easier than the boy next to her. She hadn't meant to be totally cold and heartless, but she couldn't help it. There was just something about Dunbar that made Cassandra's blood boil. She didn't miss the look of shock that was apparent on his face when she felt the beast within her struggle to overtake. Although she willed for the wolf in her to go down, she was still not happy with the fact that she had to work with Liam, but who knows, maybe things were going to look up after all, she had aimed not to kill him by the end of the year, so hopefully she could live up to that. She had scoffed when he sent a wink in her direction and she had tried to ignore it, but the pride that pumped through her veins let her know that it clearly wasn't an option. "You might Dunbar, but I wouldn't get my hopes up," she smirked as she grabbed a red pen and wrote the heading for the lesson, 'Modern Shakespeare', in her skinny, medium sized, yet still neat, handwriting. She had rolled her eyes in his response to her statement, but she knew that she couldn't exactly let him have the last word, although she knew her mother would be on her like a ton of bricks if she even thought about starting something. She had gone stiff with shock, yet mostly anger when Liam muttered under his breath, but thanks to her supernatural gene, her hearing was probably her greatest strength. She had turned slowly to face the new Beta and gritted her teeth. "What makes you think I'm going to fall for you Dunbar? So far you've been nothing but a flirt, a player, a downright bore and always scraping on my nerves. So give me one good reason as to why I should fall for you, when you've done nothing but assume that I'm going to fall at your feet and worship the ground you walk on?" She spat as she tried, and nearly failed, to keep her voice down and not to disturb her mother's class. She could feel the claws crawl out from her fingers and she scrunched her hands together in order to hide it from the people around her. She took a deep breath and willed herself to calm down and she had hoped that she wouldn't tear into Dunbar's throat, because that would have gone down swell with the Sheriff's Department. Cassie had been slightly shocked that Liam knew about Romeo and Juliet. "Uh, yeah, the tower.." she had trailed off slowly, still in shock at the fact that HE KNEW ABOUT SHAKESPEARE. Cassie had to resist a scoff and a roll of her eyes at the first thought of where they could have changed the location of the scene. "Bowling Alley, Jamba Juice, movie theatre, the hallway?" She couldn't help the last one as she let a small smile grace her face and a laugh escape from between her lips. She tossed her hair over her shoulder and started to write down a few notes on what she knew about Romeo and Juliet. "Well, from what I know, Romeo was technically spying on Juliet as she was confessing her feelings for Romeo to herself, so we'll need to plan a somewhat partial hiding spot for you to make it more realistic of Juliet not seeing Romeo," she had stressed both of the names and jotted down a heap of notes that could possibly help with their rendition of Shakespeare's most famous play. Cassandra had thought that she might have the actual audacity to invite him to her house so they could plan it properly, but while she might have been naturally blonde underneath her bright orange hair, she certainly wasn't stupid, but she was weary. Especially of Dunbar and just how unpredictable he could be now that he had been bitten by the Alpha. "So out of all those options, which one would be the ideal location?" She had asked as she continued to jot down notes. She hadn't looked up once, but that was Cassandra's doing and hers alone, Dunbar had nothing to do with it. Words: 746Veronica Carter
