Such a rainy day, shouldn't be part of such a wonderful day. When she had gotten to work, the sun had been shining in the sky with hardly any clouds. Now, however, it was pouring, the weather outside reflected the mood of the poor receptionist, even if she was wearing a smile on her face to give those who came into the hospital the hope that their dear loved ones were going to be okay. She always had hope, but sometimes on a day like this, her hope dimmed slightly. Not much had been happening around the hospital, and she was happy to just go home early. That would only result in her getting fired, so she would never do such a thing.
Crystal didn't know what to think of the day that was coming about, all the patients were having a pretty quiet day. No one had come to visit any of them, not even just stop to ask her directions to get to another place, but who could blame the people. It was pouring outside, and the sky didn't show any signs of the rain stopping any time soon. She just hoped that the hope that she was trying to spread to all the people wasn't wearing off. That would be a painful sight to see. She loved to see the sparkle in the people's eyes when she said that the patient they were visiting was open for visitors. It gave the satisfaction that she needed that the other were happy.
She didn't have the chance to say goodbye to her parents before they were killed in a car crash. Crystal didn't even have anyone she could confide in when she was going through a rough time in her life. Dealing with the first few full moons wasn't very easy for a young girl. but she made it through, and learned to control herself enough to be working. She stared at the laptop screen without doing anything, there was nothing to do. Her heightened senses could sense someone coming towards her, and she lifted her eyes from the computer screen to see the person.

Morgan had left the safety of his apartment to explore the town a little, and had been lucky enough to notice the angry grey clouds that threatened to loom over the city. In a moment of intelligence, he had thought to bring his umbrella. The druid whistled as he walked, swinging his closed blue umbrella. Some people had given him odd looks for the tool, but Morgan had given them a cheeky smile. It would their fault when the rain hammered onto their heads, and not his.
As if on cue, the rain began to fall, and in one graceful move the umbrella was open and above him. He hid a smile as the woman who had given him the stink eye was plopped with water. He held the umbrella, "Need some help ma'am?" The woman seemed to want to accept but shook her head and raced away. Morgan shrugged, and continued walking.
He refrained from the childish urge to step in the puddles that formed in front of his eyes, telling himself that he could jump in them later. He quickened his pace as the wind picked up an splattered onto his new jeans. He clicked his tongue in annoyance, then spotted a building. It may have been the hospital, but it was better than being cascaded by rain drops that stung like hail.
He quickly side stepped into a little alcove just in front of the glass doors, and shook off his umbrella. In a fluid motion he had it closed and had entered the reception area. He glanced around the room, and noticed a lonely looking receptionist. He strut towards her with a wide smile. In a confident but soft voice he greeted her, "Hello ma'am. I'm Morgan and you look a little too lonely."

WIth the rain hammering down outside, she wasn't surprised that the person had run for shelter. She didn't mind the company, in fact, she would prize it. He didn't seem to have to see any patient , so when he came up to her to strike a conversation, Crystal merely smiled. "Good morning Morgan, it's a pleasure to meet you. Lonely doesn't even come close to describing how I feel, but I wouldn't burden you with such nonsense. Are you here to visit someone, or just for the company?" Crystal said. She hardly had people come up to her just to start a measly conversation, so when he had decided to do so, she wasn't sure how to take it. She kept trying to think of something else to say, but her mind was blank. She didn't think that she's seen him around before, but that was most likely because she hardly left the hospital unless she was to go home at the end of the day.
She looked around to see the waiting room still empty. "Are you new here?" Crystal asked. Her side bangs slipping into her face slightly She pushed them behind her ear, and hoped desperately that he didn't think it was a sign of flirtation. She would never try to flirt with a visitor while she was at work, she wasn't very good at it either, so she usually went against do it. Though she had a feeling that her day was going to be very long, she at least could talk to someone. Everything was so silent around here, and she hated it, but she was used to it. It was only a matter of time before things started to get hectic, Crystal had a feeling that soon enough the hospital would be full of patients.
"Rainy days aren't my favorite. Do you enjoy them?" Crystal asked. Trying to keep a conversation started isn't very easy when you grow up without any parents to help you through these sort of things. She looked down at the computer not knowing what to say or do. Twirling her hair around her finger was a nervous habit she developed as well when she was younger. Nothing bad was happening, and she wasn't in any danger, in could only be her nerves playing with her trying to make her feel nervous about something so small. Whatever thouugh, something so small shouldn't bother her. She wrote something down on a piece of paper and slipped it under the keyboard not knowing whether to hand it him or not. Maybe later when it was almost time to leave, she would have made up her mind.

Morgan was delighted the girl hadn't told him to buzz off, and had actually responded politely. His kind smile grew wider, and then he frowned for a moment, "Someone elses problems are never a burden for me, I enjoy listening to people complain about their life." His eyes sparkled with mischief and he tapped on the desk absent-mindlessly, "Yes, I am. Just applied for a position at the school yesterday and I'm feeling pretty good about it.
The girl seemed to be nervous, so he decided to let her take her time to continue the conversation. As she spoke about the rainy days he covered his heart, "Aren't your favourite? Miss..." He read her name badge, quickly continuing his sentence, "Miss Crystal, I think you are unwell. Rainy days are the best. You get to stare longingly out the window and read your favourite books." He announced, running a hand through his slightly damp hair.
He hadn't realised, but by doing so, his dark blue cotton shirt was pulled down and showed crudely made scars. The seemed to be carved into his skin, and the four scars that where noticeable were almost evenly spaced. Morgan lowed his arms and glanced blissfully out of the window.

Crystal smiled kindly at the man as he spoke, but she wouldn't try to bring everything out on him, even if he said he didn't mind. Her entire life had been a burden, and she had no idea how to feel about sharing anything. Maybe she could hold off, but at some point talking to someone would probably make her feel better, wouldn't it? "I haven't much to say, I've never been too good at making conversation. Friends were something I never allowed when I was younger, when I did up until one point. It was my friendship with someone that changed my life for the worst," she mentioned. She wouldn't get into detail if he didn't want her to, and she was more than happy to leave it at that. It was her fault her parent were dead, and she never forgave herself. Even if she tried to, everything came crashing back down on her like an enormous rock crushing her dreams.
"I got my job at the hospital so that I could make sure that everyone was happy once they were out of her. I love talking to people to cheer them up, but conversations like that are practically the only ones I could still handle and continue,:" Crystal said. Maybe if something had been different the day of the car crash, she wouldn't still be blaming herself for what happened and her parents would still be alive. It was only a kind of hope that would be stuck in her dreams and would never come to pass. She couldn't change the past no matter how much she tried or wanted to.
Crystal had to fight the urge to laugh, he was truly turning out to be some company that she would never intend to forget. It was just that the day of the car crash the rain was hammering down just like today. Her dislike for rainy days only came from that perspective, but it could always be changed with a little help. "These days just bring back a terrible reminder of how my life changed so tragically after and accident that I still seem to feel responsible for. Not that I don't like them, but it just makes me feel sad," she replied with a sad smile. Shel'd been hinting about her tragic past, but not really jumping into the details. Of course, she looked down as the tears started to fill her eyes, but then looked up as soon as she felt them dry up.
She looked straight at him, but something caught her attention. The scars his shirt seemed to have been hiding this entire time. She wondered how that could of happened, but she didn't ask. Some things were meant to be left unknown, but still she felt bad for complaining about her life when there was so much to him that she didn't know. "What about you? Anything you would like to share?" Crystal asked not knowing if that was the right thing to do. She already asked, so what was the point in turning back now?

Morgan bit his lip gently, not at all surprised as the woman began to tell him about her lack of friends, and his heart went out for her. He could see she was blaming something on herself, but he couldn't pinpoint what it was. He bit his lip as she spoke about how rainy days had changed her life, and came to the assumption that something very bad had happened. Maybe she had lost someone dear to her?
He blinked in surprise as she asked about him, and glanced down at his hands. Oh, the scars. He realised, and brought his left arm to rub at the damaged skin, "I was attacked by a pack of- er...dogs. Wild dogs." He tried to justify that he wasn't lying through his teeth, as the werewolf pack technically was dogs...sort of.
As much as Morgan hated lying, he certainly wasn't going to blurt otu the truth of the supernatural life. He chewed on his cheek anxiously, and although he didn't know, it was very obvious that he was lying.

Crystal sighed as the conversation moved on from her to him. The relief was short lived when he explained what had happened to him. Wild dogs? He didn't have to lie around her, and she of course wanted to know if he meant werewolf or an actual wild dog. It seemed as though he was lying and she could smell the lie right off of him. "Trust me when I tell you that you don't have to cover up what a wild dog really is," she said quietly. There was so much that could be implied from that statement, but hopefully he wouldn't go straight to the theory that she was a werewolf. She smiled lightly at him.
"Full moon or a normal night?" Crystal asked. She didn't know what else to say. "I hope it wasn't as bad as it looks. Wait that was kind of rude, my bad," she said after awhile. The power of words was pretty strong, so she hired that he didn't take her last comment in a wrong way. She'd been part of a werewolf attack weight years ago as well surviving, but still becoming one of them as well, she didn't think he could be one. The wounds would have healed.

Morgan bit his cheek as the girl assured him that she knew what he was talking about. He took a deep breath and winced as he concentrated hard, trying to sense any sort of were influence, "Full moon of course." He took a careful look over, and pursed his lips, "There were doing some illegal stuff I didn't want to get involved in, so I tried to withdraw my alliance. Didn't work very well, and they decided a dead druid was better than one that knew all their secrets."
The raven haired beauty cast a glance around the empty room and cleared his throat, "So Crystal, I assume your a were? I haven't encountered any of your pack yet. An honour, of course." A cheeky smile curled on the corner of his mouth, "But I'm sure you don't want to talk about that..."

Of course the task would have taken place during a full moon, of he truly was talking about a werewolf. That would probably have to be the dumbest thing she days all day to him. Playing with the tips of her hair was starting to get annoying, so she tied it back into a tight braid. The story of what happened touched her heart, she couldn't bear to think of him dead. She was just glad that he was alright even after all he had been through. "I'm sorry I didn't know. I'm glad you're okay," she said quietly.
She smiled shyly when he mentioned the question she knew would be coming. "Yes I am, but I'm not part of a pack," she replied. There was no reason to be part of a pack of no one well almost no one knew what she was. She had been this way for eight years, so taking care of herself wasn't too hard either.

Morgan shrugged as she apologised, it wasn't like it was her fault but he could see where she was coming from. When she said she wasn't part of a pack, he blinked in confusion and furrowed his brow, "B-But...there is a pack here right? I'm not just going crazy right?" He asked, quite puzzled. A werewolf who didn't want, or have, a pack? That seemed to go against their very nature. Wolves were known to be social creatures, and it was often hard for a werewolf to be unattached to any pack or druid.
He barely stopped himself from interrogating her, and apped his fingers on the desk again. He hoped his wasn't annoying her too much, but the man couldn't help wish he could get back to reading his book. He glanced at the younger woman again, "So...you are okay? You the other wolves haven't kicked you out of their territory yet?"
