Cameron laughed as the girl asked him if he was new to town. He didn't think he was that invisible at school, being the Lacrosse Coach and all. He shook his head. "No, I've been living and teaching here for about two years now, miss." He didn't know how he'd managed to stay so under the radar but then again, he only taught about fourteen kids. Still, this was lacrosse he was talking about, just about the best sport for miles. Maybe that was just his point of view. Maybe he should expand on his position at school. "I coach lacrosse at Beacon High." He said simply, hoping that would clear things up.
He wasn't as surprised anymore when a little fox jumped on the girl, or the fact that she'd been expecting it. From what she was saying, maybe she believed there was supernatural stuff in Beacon Hills. That would explain how she... No. That stuff was just myth and lore. It wasn't real. But as he watched the girl, she set the little fox down and it made it's way towards him. When it jumped, he caught it and looked up from it to the girl in surprise. "Did you... Did you make it do that?" He asked in disbelief. That obviously wasn't something you could just do.

Rosemarie hated to have been wrong about him, she had nearly called him the Guidance Counselor, but he had just explained that he was the lacrosse coach at the school. Rose actually had never been to either the guidance counselor or the lacrosse field, so she wouldn't have been able to figure that out. "Well, my apologies, but I've never really been to the lacrosse field, nor have I tried to play the game. It seems a bit risky, more like for people with anger issues or something like that," the animal witch said. She had seen one complete game, and ever since then deemed the sport dangerous and something no one would ever see her do. The only thing that would truly make her angry enough to do anything highly dangerous like that game or worse is if anyone tried to hurt the darling animals she was always hanging out with. Sometimes even a princess could loose her temper... Was the teacher finally starting to understand that there were many more forces in the world? He didn't seem surprised to have seen the little fox jump on her, so maybe he really was having a change of heart. His reaction to the little fox having jumped on him was quite amusing to the witch, she was trying to sway his opinion about the supernatural creatures. "What would you think if I said yes to that question?" she asked him not directly answering with firm response of yes or no. She was just glad he had caught the darling baby fox before it fell to the ground. She smiled and nodded to the little animal still in the coach's hands. "You have pretty nice reflexes, I'm guessing that's the reason for you being the lacrosse team coach," she said after a while not wanting to leave the man in suspense for too long. She might not want to reveal what she was, but she was still kind enough to continue a conversation with a gentleman. Rose starred at the rest of the animals which had stopped walking around the coach. "You've never seen any animals get that close to a human?" she questioned them. They starred at her and she could hear their voices in her head whispering apologies and anything else that they could figure out saying. "That's better, now either keep moving or go back to the trees where you'll be safer," she told them kindly, but in a sort of stressed tone. She looked at the fox and smiled, "You can stay there for now, but go back home soon or your mom will be quiet upset." She starred back as some of the animals went back to their hiding places, but the others stayed to continue walking around the stranger that they had never seen before. Rose smiled and telepathically sent a thanks to all the animals, at least now it was easier for them to either run and hide or stay safe hidden in the trees. Cameron was disappointing to hear that the girl wasn't a fan of lacrosse, although he couldn't blame her. It was a violent game, whichever way you put it. He made sure to tell the whole team every year. The seniors had gotten into the habit of saying it for him. It was the same every year, "Lacrosse is a dangerous game, what can I say, I love it." he mumbled his mantra now, only quietly. He looked up and replied properly. "It's a game of strength, skill and perseverance. It is violent, though." He shook his head at the anger issues comment. "People with anger issues are discouraged from playing lacrosse. The game isn't a stress reliever. The other players aren't there to get beat up, they're there to play a game. Using the game as a giant stress ball is in no way encouraged." He explained.
He was surprised and pleased to have a baby fox jump on him but he wasn't expecting the compliment. He took it in his stride, though. "It's more from when I worked at Disney, the kids there are pretty excitable. One of the training courses there is catching high speed children." That last part was a joke, but he had encountered a few torpedo kids while he worked as a Disney prince.
Cameron had properly bundled the little fox in his arms, a little protectively, actually. The baby was just so cute and dainty, he couldn't take his eyes off of it. It had stopped licking him and decided instead to huddle into his arm, wriggling and staring around energetically. He'd never seen foxes so close before, let alone hold one. It was unbelievable. This whole thing was. How could this girl do it? There was no science behind it. Unless... Unless it wasn't science.
The question struck him and he leaned back on his heels, keeping the fox secure. Finally he spoke again. "I'd start to question how alone humans actually are." He answered vaguely, not exactly sure where this was going. It all got weirder as she started to talk to the animals and as he looked around, he realised they were listening. Some were leaving, but others still seemed curious and he crouched down to greet them. Setting the little fox in his lap, he marveled at the difference in perspective. He felt much more connected to the animals now he was seeing things from more their height.
The little fox wriggled and jumped off him, dancing and licking before trotting back to the girl. He watched him go, his eyes filled with gratitude. This might be a once in a lifetime thing. He looked up to the girl again, smiling. "This is amazing."

Rose didn't want to think that the coach was upset about her disliking the lacrosse sport. She was just never going to be able to actually play the game, but watching it wasn't half bad. So many people in the past have gotten hurt, but the pain never really lasted long, but that was probably because the people getting hurt were the werewolves of the school. Dangerous and crazy, but that wasn't something Rosemarie would be caught playing that game it if the last thing in the world she hadn't done. As long as that sport continued to be as rough as it has been these past few years, she wouldn't step foot in the field. Rose listened to the description he was giving her about the game, and she still had no interest in it. She had literally no interest in getting getting hurt playing a game she knew wasn't her cup of tea. Anyone could tell that if they saw how kindly and carefully she treated the animals around her. She was a gentle person, who was not about to go around running trying to knock other players off their feet. In fact, she knew she would be the one to be thrown on her own bottom if she ever entered such a violent game. "Skill and perseverance I have, but strength would be beyond believable, I would never want to hurt any of these darling animals," she replied thoughtfully. At the shake of his head, she knew that her comment about the anger issues was completely wrong. Rose stayed quiet as she listened to the coach speaking. "Hmm...so that brings your game a couple steps towards my bucket list, but there's no way that I would ever join a game that could injure me," she stated.
The witch smiled, she was having quite a day, and had no idea how to deal with it. She had planned the little fox's jump onto the man, but the way she spit out that compliment was so unlike her. It was something she would never have done in the past, and she didn't have anything to think much to shoot it out. "Disney? Where's that?" she asked. Obviously, she wouldn't have known where anything was outside of Beacon Hills because she had never left this place. In fact, she had only ever been in her house, the school, and the forest. Not many people left this place, and she wondered how the coach had been able to able to go to so many places. Wait, he said he had worked at Disney as a Prince? That was the craziest job she had ever heard of until now. "What was that job like?" she asked.
She watched as the coach properly bundled up the little fox in his arms, Rose was happy to see that the way he had bundled the fox was almost a little protectively. The fox was so adorable, and she was glad to see the coach and baby getting along very well. She had a reason to think he had never been so close to any of these animals, but they were new at this as well. It was a miracle that the animals had trusted the coach, and hadn't decided to attack him at moments noticed. Rose wasn't going to say anything about herself being a witch if he asked anything, but maybe continue hint him towards it.
Rosemarie smiled, he really was starting to change his mind about the supernatural. "No, we as humans are not as alone as we think," she replied. Rose sighed softly, and hoped that he would soon start understanding. "They can listen to you if you are around them more often and treat them as equally as you would any human," she said out loud hoping he understood that she was talking to him and not the animals. She watched as the coach started bonding with the little animals around him. When the little fox came back towards her, Rose leaned down and grabbed the little fox with a gentle squeeze. "Hangout around the forest more often, and we'll be able to have many more amazing moments such as these," the witch said.

Cameron was slightly sad to hear that the girl still didn't like lacrosse all that much although he could see it from her point of view. He'd had so many potential star players turn the opportunity down because of the risk involved, he'd come to expect it from most. Especially if you had never played, you wouldn't like it. He also thought a little thing like the girl in front of him would most likely get a few bones broken in the first minutes of the match. Yes, she wasn't suited to playing it, but he hoped he could changed her views a little bit. He nodded as she talked about the violent side of the sport, "Yeah, it's not for everyone." He agreed.
The little fox bundled tightly in his arms, he stared at the girl in shock as she asked where Disney was. "Disney isn't a place, it's a company." He shook his head in disbelief. "Only one of the oldest and most famous kids movies of all time. Are you telling me you've never heard of them. Never owned Snow White pajamas and never seen the Lion King?" He couldn't believe this girl hadn't heard of Disney. They were everywhere. Next she asked what that job was like. Cam hadn't mentioned what job he had. "I was a Disney Prince." He said slowly. "Specifically John Smith, from Pocahontas." The girl still looked a little confused and he decided to elaborate further. "I was a real life character from a cartoon movie at the Disney theme parks." He thought this was common knowledge, everywhere.
As he bent to talk to the animals, he listened to the girl's ideas. They were strange, but they made sense if he opened his mind to the possibility of the supernatural. In truth the idea of supernatural creatures scared him. They held so much of a predatory advantage over humans. He could get his head ripped off by a werewolf if they were real. But if they were real, they lived peacefully otherwise humans would've found out by now. The girl gave some good advice and Cameron chuckled, looking up at her. "You'd really enjoy Disney films, kid."
