While he was a deputy for the sheriff's department, he encountered several supernatural predicaments but didn't believe in it. They ranged from encountering Ennis, questioning Chris Argent about a body, and finding a mutilated Julia Baccari.

His wife, Claudia, was sick with frontotemporal dementia which deteriorated her mental state.
While at the scene of a wreck, a woman who was critically injured told Stilinski that if he want to see his wife to go now. Instead, he with the woman until she died. He arrived at the hospital to find his wife dead before he got there, missing the chance to say goodbye to her.



After becoming sheriff, one of his first cases was the death Henry Tate's family. He ruled it as a car accident an accident as he was unaware of the Desert Wolf's attempt on Malia Tate's life.
 He investigates recent murders that he later connects to the Hale Arson Conspiracy. While investigating more murders, he is striped of his badge due to Stiles' interference in his job. His badge is returned after helping Scott and Stiles take down Matt Daehler. 

Only after his son becomes involved with the supernatural and tries to explain it to him did finally start to believe in it. He nearly becomes a sacrifice of the Darach.
 After accepting the supernatural's presence in Beacon Hills, he applies it to his unsolved cases. Later he helps free his son from the influence of a Nogitsune. Since then, he has been a pivotal, and at times reluctant, ally of Scott's Pack.

Claudia Stilinski 

Dead

Family : Sheriff Stilinski (husband), Stiles Stilinski (son)

Claudia was married to the Sheriff until her death and left behind one son, Stiles. She died after suffering from frontotemporal dementia, a shrinkage of the brain that leads to dementia and death. and was hospitalized. Stiles was with her when she died.


Later on after nearly eight years, Melissa McCall looks into the file which showed that she was suffering symptoms similar to those of her son, Stiles. He was experiencing the effects of being possessed by the Nogitsune.

Stiles Stilinski 

Age : 17

Family : Sheriff Stilinski (father), Claudia Stilinski (mother, dead)

Stiles is a student at Beacon Hills High School and the son of Beacon County's Sheriff Stilinski.
 His mother, Claudia Stilinski, died in 2004. He was present when she passed and has never gotten over her death. For some unknown reason, Stiles blames himself.



He was a geeky but otherwise normal kid before a werewolf bit his best friend and threw his world into constant chaos.
 Stiles is sarcastic, funny and outspoken. He is extremely clever and has led the way in working through many of the mysteries.
 He is a bit frustrated that the werewolf bite has cast him as Robin to Scott’s Batman but he is a solid friend and loyal to a fault.
For the longest time he held an intense but unrequited love for fellow classmate Lydia Martin. Their relationship has grown into a strong friendship.



While they have a typically combative parent/teenager relationship, Stiles loves his father very much and often worries about his safety.
 Stiles relationship with Derek Hale is awkward and adversarial, which often lead to funniest moments.

Stiles helps his best friend deal after Scott is bitten by a werewolf. Stiles saves Derek and helps protect Lydia after Jackson transforms into a Kanima.Stiles dies and comes back in order to save his father from the Darach.
 He is then possessed by a Nogitsune and wreaks havoc on his friends. 
Stiles apparently lost his virginity during a brief stay at a mental institution and has a growing relationship with werecoyote Malia Tate. He's been teaching her to be more human.
