I'm Georgia, the creator and one of the administrator's of this site. This thread here is to answer any questions that you might have when you first join. Hopefully you'll find everything you need and if you have any questions you can send a PM to either; Veronica Carter or Isabelle Kyles. If both of us are unavailable (which is very rare), you can send a message to Crystal Fall. If all of us are unavailable (which is actually impossible), there will always be other members online to help you.

Role-playing refers to the changing of one's behaviour to assume a role, either unconsciously to fill a social role, or consciously to act out an adopted role. It is explained as the changing of one's behaviour to fulfill a social role, it is used more loosely in regards to playing roles in theatre or educational settings, to refer to taking a role of an existing character or person, to refer to a wide range of video games or specifically to role-playing games.

Role-play is quite like "make believe", where someone adopts a certain role, such as a doctor and acts out those roles in character. Sometimes "make believe" adopts an oppositional nature, resulting in games such as cops and robbers.

Role-playing is a game in which the participants assume the roles of characters and collaboratively create stories. Participants determine the actions of their characters based on the characterisation and the actions succeed or fail according to a formal system of rules and guidelines. Within the rules, they may improvise freely; their choices shape the direction and outcome of the games.

The easiest way to explain role-play is that it's an interactive literary game, similar to a video game, where you control a character as though they are within the Teen Wolf world. You interact with the other characters on the site, build friendships, relationships, enemies, attend work and go to lessons at the school, but absolutely everything is done by a literary stand-point. It's also considered an interactive fan-fiction that you're writing with ten other people! The only difference is that each person controls his/her own character.

WHAT DO I DO FIRST?!

1. Create the Account!
   The first thing that you have to do is create your account, assuming that you haven't done that yet! To do that, just scroll to the top of the page and to the right it will say, "Welcome Guest. Please Login or Register." Now, if you already have an account, go ahead and do this sweet, little thing called, "LOGGING IN"! If you don't have an account, click the button that says, "REGISTER" and join our awesome community! After entering that, you'll be taken to a page where you can create a password by which to login with, your first name, birthday, gender, the usuals! After this, you just need to create your username! The username is what differentiates your characters! It can be anything, other than one which has already been taken!
2. Read the Rules!
   This is probably the easiest thing to do! The rules can be found HERE. It takes about five-ten minutes to read through them all, but it's super important! The lack of knowledge on these rules is NOT an excuse for breaking them, so best to read them and get it done and dusted with.
3. CREATE YOUR CHARACTER!!!
   This is my favourite part!! The very basic choice for your character is a creature! It seems to be the most popular at the moment, given that people really like being a part of the "Alpha's Crowd". We have a ton of options to choose from! You can be a werewolf, werejaguar, werecoyote, werecheetah, druid, banshee, kitsune, hellhound, YOU CAN BE ABSOLUTELY ANYTHING THAT'S LISTED! You can even be a witch!
   
   You can also make an adult character, which is awesome! This has a lot more options behind it, as there are a lot of things that an adult can do for a living! You can work at the Sheriff's Station, the Hospital, the News Station, the School or even Nightclubs or the Mall!
   
   You can also choose to be a human. Now please note, Human's know absolutely nothing about the supernatural world unless part of canon or if you've plotted with a creature on site.
   
   Now, the registration template is fairly simple. You just go HEREand depending on whether you would like a Creature or a Human click on the designated board. Then you can proceed to click "Create Thread". From there, the template will appear and you can fill out all the sections. If you have no way to post the application with a computer, please send a message to Veronica Carter or Isabelle Kyles and we will then give you a copy of the application that you can use to post.
4. WAIT TO BE ACCEPTED
   Another one of my favourite parts! So, since your application has been submitted for "evaluation", the only thing you can possibly do is to wait! Please do not pester the admin to sort the applications as we are all pretty busy out of SR! If you pester us, we will put a hold on your application for 24 hours! So no pestering! So, I typically get the chance to look at them as soon as they're posted, so you'll be able to post as soon as I've accepted, however if there is something wrong with the application, it may take a little bit longer. If any errors are found in the application, either myself or Admin Kyles will reply to the thread with an explanation of what was wrong, why it's wrong and helpful hints in fixing it!
5. REGISTERIES!
   This is another one of my favourites! Don't ask me to number my favourites though! So there are a heap of different things that your characters can sign up for to enhance your experience on Silver Rose! Linked below are the things that each type of character can sign up for, based on what kind of character you have.

6. START POSTING LIKE MAD!!!
   Okay, this is clearly my favourite part! Now that everything has been sorted, you can start posting as your character!! YAY! If you have questions in regards to posting, please message either myself or Admin Kyles and we will tell you where you're permitted to post! Oh and please, scroll on!

Plot With Me?

1. The Plots Board
   The plotting board, which can be found HERE is a great place to go when searching for people to plot with! Within this board, you can narrow down exactly what you want in a plot, whether it be friends or a relationship and you can sort out specifically what you want to happen instead of breaking character in the post.
2. The Shoutbox
   This is a really good spot for asking members if they want to post or plot. Due to the character limit, there is less ability to add information, but it works well if you're not really looking to go into a huge amount of detail for a plot, but someone to post with.
3. Open Threads
   There are heaps of threads around the site that are posted as what we like to call, "Open Threads". This means, that absolutely anybody can reply to them! Unless you're in a restricted board (e.g. Students can't post in the Morgue at the Hospital or the Interview Room at the Sheriff's Station). This is pretty much perfect if you are just looking for someone to post with without having a pre-planned plot.
4. Personal Messaging
   Now, I don't recommend this one, but it is a possibility. If you notice a character that you think is interesting and might be fun to role play with, you can send them a message asking if they are interested in plotting. Although this seems like a good method of finding someone to plot with, but not a lot of people check their messages, depending on how much they're online.

What if I have a Question?

1. PMing Staff
   Another option is to send a message to a member of staff. These options apply to, yet are not limited to; Veronica Carter, Isabelle Kyles or Crystal Fall. There is hardly a time when at least one of us isn't online! However, we can't guarantee a super fast reply. You might catch us when we're on that particular character, but it depends on if you catch them in time. This one is better if you have a specific question for a particular person!

Another important thing you will notice in here is ...... Themes, Images and mini-profiles.

We at Silver Rose use different themes, to allow our users the chance to change and feel welcome while posting. As of now, we have three different themes you will get to use as of now, TAKE IT BACK, MISTY MOUNTAINS AND SUNKISSED PARADISE. We will be alternating the site default between these three for every month.  But you can always change them here,

Profile > Edit-Profile > Settings > Theme Selector. In the drop down list you can select any of the theme you wish to use. 

Apart from following the traditional mini-profile, we have quite  different way of expressing your character's info. So, in order to it to functtion properly you need to do somethings. 

Profile > Edit-Profile > Avatar > Please upload a 150x150 image which will be used as your default image.

The above image is rarely used, except for places like Information Box, thread descriptors on boards etc.. Please do not upload an image of higher dimensions as it will be troublesome for us.

Next step is quite simple
